RF microneedling
Overview

RF microneedling is not only used on the face but also on the body. It creates micro-injuries and delivers heat energy stimulating the body’s natural healing response, triggering collagen and elastin production, as well as causing skin tightening. At higher levels used in the body it can treat many concerns such as stretch marks, cellulite and scars.

RF microneedling FAQs

During the treatment, a numbing cream is typically applied to the treated area to minimise any discomfort. Most individuals report feeling a mild sensation of heat and slight pressure during the procedure, but it is generally well-tolerated.

The number of sessions required varies based on individual factors such as the specific concern being addressed and the desired outcome. Typically, a series of three to six sessions spaced several weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. Your practitioner will assess your skin and recommend a personalised treatment plan.

After the treatment, there may be some temporary redness, mild swelling, and minor pinpoint bleeding at the treatment sites. These effects generally subside within a few days. Most people can resume their regular activities shortly after the procedure, but it’s important to follow any post-treatment instructions provided by your practitioner.

Results can vary, but many individuals notice improvements in their skin texture and appearance within a few weeks after the initial session. Collagen remodeling continues over time, so optimal results may be visible several weeks to months after completing the full treatment series.

RF microneedling can provide long-lasting results, but it does not stop the natural aging process. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to sustain and further enhance the results over time.
